We have been committed for decades to the breeding of competitive, modern varieties and to the production of their high-quality seeds. One of the foundations of the reliable, high-quality seeds distribution is the mapping and screening of seed-borne viruses. This makes breeding smoother and helps to comply with the quality assurance conditions. As a result of this, our seeds are secure base for vegetable production, what is everybody’s vital interest.

In order to ensure the distribution of reliable seeds, in February 2020, an ELISA laboratory was established at the Kecskemét site of ZKI Zrt. In designing and equipping the laboratory, our goal was to flexibly meet the current and future needs.

In addition to testing for different viruses the seeds to be sold, we are also monitoring continuously thedifferent stages and generations of the breeding, as well as the plant stocks of seed production, from different plant parts and leaves.

From 2021, our ELISA laboratory started to extend its services to external partners, thus providing an opportunity to expand and continuously improve our activities.
